I dislike confrontation. So, when I have friends who disrespect me or do things I dislike, I avoid them until I disappear from their lives.

And it is not fair to them (unless they are toxic and narcissistic).

But here’s the thing, I now realize: If I didn’t tell these people how to treat me, they wouldn’t know.
