I tried to like Medium’s newsletter feature, but here’s why it didn’t work for me

If you have a publication on Medium, you probably did not know your publication has a newsletter feature. I wonder why I never registered that Medium had this newsletter feature until this year.

Anyway, I wanted to start a short atomic newsletter for my publication, Zero-to-1k blog. I didn’t want to go through the process of setting one up with Substack. I just wanted to get it up and running quickly.

The plan is to share a curated-short form newsletter for content creators; known as an atomic or quick newsletter.

I have a digital notebook where I store my favorite content from all over the internet.

Since I might never come around to using everything in my book, I thought it would be nice to share these links in a newsletter.

Medium’s newsletter feature is bare bones, with no whistles and bells. It is just a way to communicate with people on your list in real time.

After you type, just hit send. It seemed like the best tool for this newsletter.

What do I like about Medium’s newsletter feature?

It is really minimalist — clean, and simple interface, just as you’d expect from Medium.
